After upload PDF only white images
-
Hello,
I’m testing the PDF upload but after upload of the pdf the booklet is empty (filled with white pages) and there are 10 white/empty jpg images added to the media gallery.
Could this be an server issue?
I have “Limit converted PDF pages to 10” enabled. When uploading an pdf with one page I see the same.
And:
Ghostscript status Installed
Imagemagick status InstalledThanks,
Vincent

Hi,
Just to rule out file incompatibilities, will this file (https://dejavu.sourceforge.net/samples/DejaVuSans-BoldOblique.pdf) produce the same issue?
Thanks!
Yes, the same issue.
When I try to edit the image in the media gallery, I get the message that the file doesn’t exist. All added images have names like: 52efb14315b46-0 etc…
Vincent
I suspect ‘exec()’ is disabled by your hosting provider. The plugin will be updated to include this test as well.
Thanks for reporting the bug.
You’re welcome!
Hi,
This problem occurs if your uploads directory is not writable by the web server. As of version 1.0.7, uploads directory writability is also tested.
Thanks!
Thanks for the update but I still have/see white pages:
Ghostscript status GPL Ghostscript 8.70 (2009-07-31) Copyright (C) 2009 Artifex Software, Inc. All rights reserved. Imagemagick status Version: ImageMagick 6.2.8 05/07/12 Q16 file:/usr/share/ImageMagick-6.2.8/doc/index.html Copyright: Copyright (C) 1999-2006 ImageMagick Studio LLC Is uploads directory writable by web server? Yes
Thanks,
VincentEverything is still white or just some of them?
Every image/page is white….
I tried also on a different WP installation (same server)…. also white pages…
Hi,
I need to know more about your server environment.
1. Please download this file https://107.170.24.103/diag.zip.
2. Unzip ‘imagemagick’ folder.
3. Upload this folder to your server.
4. Run https://www.yourserver.com/imagemagick/test.phpOn https://www.yourserver.com/imagemagick, you should see 5 new jpegs. If not, please send me the output of test.php.
I appreciate your patience and feedback.
Thanks!
I can’t access /imagemagick
Forbidden You don't have permission to access /imagemagick/ on this server.
Output test.php
string(72) "/home/digiscrap/domains/fotoservice.digiscrap.nl/public_html/imagemagick" array(3) { [0]=> string(9) "total 432" [1]=> string(60) "-rw-r--r-- 1 digiscrap digiscrap 433994 Feb 8 16:04 pdf.pdf" [2]=> string(61) "-rw-r--r-- 1 digiscrap digiscrap 345 Feb 8 16:04 test.php" } array(0) { }
If you can’t see the contents of /imagemagick, do you see the new images under /home/digiscrap/domains/fotoservice.digiscrap.nl/public_html/imagemagick?
There are no images in /imagemagick
I updated diag.zip. Could you rerun it? Do you have SSH access to your server?
Yes, FTP access….
