    Hello,
after updating to latest version 7.12.23 the Facebook Like count doesn’t appear on new articles. On old ones the count works fine. Checking with FB’s Object Debugger i get this message for every page that the count doesn’t work:
“The ‘fb:app_id’ property should be explicitly provided, Specify the app ID so that stories shared to Facebook will be properly attributed to the app. Alternatively, app_id can be set in url when open the share dialog.”
    Any ideas?

    Thank you

Nevermind. It seems after the update the fb app id and secret were lost. I re-entered them and it works again.
    Thank you anyways!

Okay. Good to know you got it fixed.

Something seems wrong or broken. The share count doesn’t show again. On the facebook app page (Facebook Developers) I get this message “Application-Level Rate Limit” 104% Call count usage rate.
I still get the “Share App ID Missing” from here.
    Any clues?

Unfortunately, there is a limit imposed by Facebook on how many times Facebook shares can be retrieved using graph API. You can increase the share count cache refresh time interval in the “Miscellaneous” section at social share options page in admin to make these calls less frequent.

I still get the “Share App ID Missing” from here.

That’s doesn’t matter. Facebook app ID need not be present in the HTML source.

Well I increased the refresh time to 1h and it seems to be working. Counts are showing and no limiting from Facebook.
    Thank you.
