After updating the NextGen gallery plugin the site began to slow down. After disabling this Gallery plugin, the site works normally.
Reviews about this plugin are not good (just after the updates).
    Which gallery do you recommend?

Can you please make sure that you are using an up-to-date shortcode structure for your galleries? For the comparison purposes, please try to insert the same gallery into a new testing page then compare the loading speed with the original gallery page.

You want to say that the plugin does not automatically update the structure of short code?
Removed from the page gallery. The speed is just as low.
When we disable the plugin, then the speed is good.

The shortcodes are part of the pages’s content and none of the currently existing WP plugins are allowed to automatically modify their shortcode structure without having to edit that page and trying to edit the shortcode using the plugin’s shortcode editor.

In NextGen’s case, you will have to edit the page, then edit the inserted gallery module into the page’s content and press “Insert Gallery” button ( without having to do any other changes ) then update the page. This is the only way that you can use to update the shortcode’s structure with NextGen Gallery.
