After updating oceanwp theme social icons dissapeared

  • Hello, I have a little issue.. but I’m very sure that was caused after updating your theme!
    The social icons look broken or at least the symbol icons are not visible over the buttons!..

    Currently those social icons were added throught “My Theme Panel” using oceanwp extra plugin.. so, obviously that this little issue is directly related ! I’ll appreciate if you can fix it !

    Kindly try to update the theme to the v1.7.3 and ocean extra plugin to the v1.5.19 to fix the issue.

    Hello.. this is getting worse.. I updated both (theme & plugin) as you told me and right now I can’t upload images for my pages!.. the tab for upload images isn’t working anymore!.. I was working uploading images until yesterday!.. not anymore!..

    Hello again, I’ll give you some info that maybe could help you to solve this issue quickly. I’ve installed the following plugin called “Better Font Awesome”:

    In order to solve the problem with social icons broken after updating your theme. Believe or not this plugin fixed the problem with social icons because apparently this issue is related to font awesome updating as well. This plugin helps to keep always updated to the latest version.

    Then I read your kindly reply about the new updating and I believe that after updating I could remove this plugin. But It wasn’t the case.

    After removing this plugin the problem persist but as I said before, I have also a new problem with the wordpress images uploading section. I’m using google chrome in private mode.

    For the image uploading issue, try to switch to the default wordpress theme like twenty nineteen to check the issue. Because I don’t think it is a theme issue.

    For the icon issue, that is very odd. I checked the issue on my end and don’t have the issue with the icon. Can you please share your site link so that I can check it?
