After update to version 4.0 google webmaster show bunch of errors!

  • Hi Arnee and everybody,

    I need help. After updating plugin from version 3.4.1. to version 4.0 and newer, I noticed that the google webmaster tool stoped indexing my new posts. At the time there where 600 url’s sent, and in the past three weeks I posted arould 25 new posts which where not indexed or even shown. Number of sent url’s was still 600.

    So I went to the Google (XML) Sitemap Generator plugin settings and plugin notified me that there is still a sitemap.xml or sitemap.xml.gz file in blog directory. “Please delete them as no static files are used anymore or try to delete them automatically.” So I deleted it automatically. That was yesterday and today my google web master tool shows 25 sent url’s and 44 errors!! Errors shows that XML tag is missing.

    Please help. How to fix this??

    I had to go back to the version 3.4.1. since I didn’t get any advice. I am just worried what will happend whith this plugin when I will update wordpress in the future..
