    Dear team,
i like your plugin and it is since several month activated on our website https://www.msm-technik.de. Unfortunatelly after the update to 1.4.0, only this plugin was updated and nothing else changed or updated, the speed went down. What is wrong? We came from 86/91 points to now 68/84 points at GoogleSpeedAnalysis (mobile/desktop). It seems that after the update the plugin Autoptimize isn`t working any more. We need help.

    Hi,

When did you run the last test? Because pagespeed has recently changed the way it check pages and the score. About the defer loading, it just say that during the loading time of this file the rendering cannot start, which is obvious because it’s the whole CSS of the website. The only trick to avoid would be to defer the file loading but it may cause some other troubles with 3rd party plugins.

For testing I recommend using webpagetest.org, it’s far more complete and accurate regarding the optimization missing.

    Cheers,

    Hi,
and thanks for the quick answer. The Google testing is done every morning, to search for loading problems. We also do each day testing with tools.pingdom.com. We got the same bad test result after updating to 1.4.0. of the WP Speed of Light.

What are the changes exactly on pingdom results? and what is your optimization settings of our plugin? Are you using any other tool for optimization?

    Pingdom results:
Preformance Grade dropped from 90 to 71
request from 36 up to now 59
PageSize in KB and LoadingSpeed is nearly the same for the 1st page

=> we used Autoptimize together with SOL, but now we can use only SOL, because the Autoptimize PlugIn has after the update of SOL to 1.4.0 no influence on minifying css, js or html code. We tried also other plugins instead of Autoptimize, but nothing works.

That could be the problem indeed, what did you activate on Autoptimize? if you activated the file group it seems that it does not work anymore. Is the feature also activated in WPSOL?
