I had to disable block options after update due to all my blocks being uneditable: This block has encountered an error and cannot be previewed.

  • @jannikl I’m fixing the issues with the new Gutenberg version and will let you know once available. Thanks!

@jannikl Pushed the updates. Let me know if in any case you encounter any other issues. Thanks!

Its not fixed in 5.0. I tried both the visual and the html and both encountered the error.

I am having the same problem with 5.0, but only with Visual. HTML is OK

Found this thread. Having the same issue. Can’t add an image. Not on 5.0 using the Gutenberg plugin. Haven’t had the issue before.

I am having the issue too! JavaScript console has several errors including: ‘tinymce’ is not defined

Update: I found for me that the issue was caused because I was getting a 403 error on /wp-includes/js/tinymce/wp-tinymce.php. That evidently was caused by a deny rule set in the /wp-includes/.htaccess file. We commented out that deny rule and now the block editor no longer shows that error.

    Hello

I have this error too and don’t appear to have an /.htaccess file in my wp-includes folder. How can I create this?

I found that installing the gutenberg plug in some posts and pages can now be seen and edited but not all.

    Thanks!

    Kate

For me, there was a problem in wp-includes. Downloading a fresh install of WordPress, and replacing my wp-includes folder solved the problem. The .htaccess file wasn’t the problem for me. Maybe there was some glitch when I updated WordPress.
