After Update, new post or page screen shows up as blank

  • After updating to 0.95 version of W3TC, I and my users were no longer able to access the new post or new page screens. The page generated was completely blank, not even showing the admin sidebar. Everything still worked perfectly on the front-end as far as viewing the pages, and my users could still access the admin dashboard itself, but adding a new page or post was impossible.

    As a temporary solution, I have since deleted the W3TC plugin via FTP and re-uploaded the previous version, and things work fine again, so it has to be something related to the new update that is interfering with the loading of the new post screen.

  • I assume you are using another plugin which is also using some of w3tc functions or classes directly. As those have substantially changed, those plugins will cause this issues. You can find out which plugin it is by temporarily disabling all other plugins one by one.
