Just a quick complaint – I know nobody likes complaint but guys.. this is ridiculous.

So I recently updated to the latest version, and today realised haven’t had any orders for like a week or so, since the update. Very strange, normally have a few a day, so got to troubleshooting.

First step was to use test cards etc. to see if there’s a payment issue, so, I go into Stripe settings and low and behold, I see the webhook is disabled and it’s not even connected! There’s a message telling me I need to re-connect and re-auth to Stripe. I do that, enter my details, select Stripe account etc. and now is all connected (hoping sales come back and that I didn’t miss too many big ones).

The point is – if I didn’t dive into the settings of the plugin I’d never know!

Why is there no main dashboard alert or something to warn me? No email? Nothing? That’s crazy.

Please add some kind of proper notification, an email, something you can’t miss and not something that is only noticed when diving into the settings of the plugin (people only do this to setup or troubleshoot!). You literally can’t sell anything without a connection, the plugin should be shouting from the rooftops that it’s not working!

This time it was a week or so of missed sales which is bad enough, but could be worse, especially for those that are not keeping on top of everything

    Thanks.

    Hi @waxaddict3,

I completely understand your frustration—missing out on sales due to an unnoticed issue is incredibly frustrating, especially when it directly impacts your business. You’re absolutely right that there should be a more prominent notification, whether through a dashboard alert or an email, to immediately inform store owners when something as critical as a payment connection is lost.

Your feedback is valuable, and I’d strongly recommend submitting a feature request for this improvement: WooCommerce Feature Requests. In the meantime, regularly checking your payment settings after updates might help catch issues early, but I agree that a proactive alert system would be a much better solution. Thanks for bringing this up!
