For various reasons I am only just getting around to updating Hustle from 5.1.5.1 to 6.0.4.2

I only have one Pop-up, but after updating it disappears, and I have to start from scratch again. Is there any way to export or save an existing popup before updating?

    Thanks, David

    Hey @dlwnz,

    Hope you’re well.

There is no way to manual export from 5.x version to 6.x version. But you can start migration again, maybe just a temporary issue happen and re-migrate can fix it. When you go to the Hustle page on your wp-admin you need to add &reset_migration=1 end of the URL and press enter. It will reload the page and make migration again. Then you can check your popup again.

    Hi Oguz,
Thanks for the suggestion – I tried it (a couple of times) but the pop-up I had under 5.1x disappears when I update the plugin to 6.x. After update it’s like a fresh install with the option to create a new pop-up.

I guess I have to rebuild my 5.1x pop-up from scratch then?

(I’m trying all the above on a staging install, but I had the same thing happen on a live site with 5.x > 6.x where I lost the pop-ups I had).
    Thanks, David

    Hi David,

Can you tell us what happens when you downgrade to 5.1.x, does it show up right away?

Also, have you tried downloading the plugin and then updating it via FTP by replacing the old files?

    Cheers,
    Predrag

Hi Dimitris, I haven’t resolved it yet.
When Predrag said “have you tried downloading the plugin and then updating it via FTP by replacing the old files?”
    Does that mean:
    1. Just overwriting the 5.1x folder directly via FTP with the 6.0x files or
    2. First disabling the plugin in WP admin, then deleting the 5.1x folder via FTP and uploading the 6.0x files and re-activating the plugin.
Just wanting to know best procedure to minimise downtime.
    Thanks, David

    Hello @dlwnz

    Hope you’re doing well!

Please simply overnight the whole plugin’s folder wordpress-popup in the wp-content/plugins/.

No need to deactivate the plugin from the Plugins section, but feel free to do so.

Let us know how it went!

    Cheers,
    Nastia
