    ALSO:
As of date updated, Google Analytics stopped tracking my site and for four days showed average traffic of 200-400/day reduced to 3/day.
We didn’t know how to fix, so had our tech roll back to previous version of EME.
    Suggestions?

Note: After problems – I reverted to pre-update EME.
    Thanks.

I’ve tried reproducing this, but no success. When google reports such an issue, go in their analytics and find the line that causes this. Then we can see what exactly is the issue. Also: EME auto-generates the google ld+json headers (since some releases) so make sure not to add them again on your own.
And if you can reproduce it on a test-site, let me know too …

Hi, this may be related. I have found some warnings in search console recently regarding events. It complains about:

    Missing field offer.validFrom
    Missing field perfomer

The first one is present in the ld+json as I have found out. So I have initiated revalidation (it have been few days right now, we will see)

However as to the second one, search console is right. There is no field performer in EME ld+json. Is it possible to add it to the plugin?

    Thanks

Those fields are recommended, but not required. See https://developers.google.com/search/docs/data-types/event
Also: the latest version adds offer.validFrom
The only one I don’t find a match for is performer, since there are so many events that don’t have a notion of a performer (like a contest, school plays, …). I tried adding an empty person, but then google complains. But adding the contact person for an event as performer doesn’t seem right either, so for now I’m not providing that field.
If you think you have google issues, you can always contact google and ask them for help. I did not see anything related to a parsing error when I test the generated ld+json on their platform though. And it seems your events are still in the google search results too.
