• After updating either wordpress or estore i lost my custom css. (estore 1.47 now)

However the biggest problem is i cannot get it back when i revert to old files & database. i tried with a backup of 2 weeks. Then when i back up i do see the old css on the site but the moment i log in to admin (or later when i go to custom css) it is empty and also the customizations are gone and i just get the normal estore layout.

there are some small but vital css changes for our webstore and the only way i think to get them back is know where it is stored in the database, revert to old database without loggin in, and get it from there, revert back to current and re-add the css (sadly i don’t have other backups… well i have but as explained when i login the custom css is just…gone. when i use current version it’s also not there before login)

hope you can help me in the right direction, there is a lot of work in a couple small tweaks i cannot easily get back.

  • I’ve had the same happen to me, all of my Widgets were deleted, putting them back in didn’t put back in the data etc, custom CSS was deleted and even now the menu still isn’t right, what is causing this? Thinking of moving to a different theme if now answers are forthcoming.

went back further and managed to get it working (ie managed to get to the old customization codes to use in the updated site)… a good lesson to not only trust the backups bc it was quite a worry

    Hi @elvagabundo @bigjayce ,

I created such scenarios in my local environment and online sandbox but I couldn’t replicate the issue. We will dig deep and if there’s an issue we’ll inform you and resolve in an upcoming update.

@elvagabundo good to know that you’ve found out a way to resolve the issue.

    Thanks and Regards,
    Milan.
