After update, can't upload images and can't attach NextGen to posts

  • Every time i click to add NextGen to a page I get this error:
    No Results Found
    The page you requested could not be found. Try refining your search, or use the navigation above to locate the post.

    Fatal error: Call to undefined function get_current_screen() in /homepages/6/d463740452/htdocs/Versatility/wp-includes/admin-bar.php on line 486

    I also, like many, can’t add any new images via NextGen. It says 100% and then 0 images loaded. They are not on the server either, but I can load manually and then find them with NextGen, but then NextGen will not generate thumbnail images on the page if the gallery was already present.

    WordPress 3.9.2
    NextGen Version 2.0.66.27

    MySQL5
    PHP 5.4
    PHP Safe mode deactivated

    Hosted with 1&1
    DeepFocus Theme
    all other plugins deactivated

    error still occurs when using Twenty series theme with all plugins deactivated

    versatilitycreativegroup.com – Past version of NextGen was loaded on the Photography page and is still running with the new version, but I can’t add to the gallery. I’m currently trying to add it to the Logo & Graphic Design page.

    @mmichael151 – Are you trying to add images to the existing galleries; add galleries to the existing “Photography” page; or, add galleries to a new page?

    I know of another site that uses the latest version of theme you currently have active and although a bit cumbersome in my opinion NextGEN Gallery works fine with it.

    Have you checked for possible plugin conflicts?

    I removed all other plugins and used a twenty theme and still wouldn’t work. I’m trying to add pictures to a gallery. I’m also trying to add a gallery to a page. None of it works. I did notice that everything works fine on a new site running the same theme and version of WordPress and NextGen. So it’s something specifically on this site when i did the updates through the WordPress dashboard to WordPress and Plugins. Any idea of what I need to do to fix/find the problem so I don’t have to rebuild entire site?
