After the update to 4.0 "Message Send" doesn't appear

  • Hi,

    After I have updated the plug-in to 4.0 version, the “message send” message doesn’t appear but the message is sending successfully.

    Once I click the “send” button, the refreshing icon keeps rolling but never change in to “message send” notice.

    I have tried different methods that I have found in this forum but couldn’t solve the problem.

    By the way, I am also using the WP-Mail-SMTP plug-in, too and this may cause the problem. Once I deactivate this plug-in, the “message send” appears but my message doesn’t deliver. Maybe an alternate to this plug-in can be a solution but I don’t know which one.

  • The spinning arrow is a common symptom of a Javascript conflict with either your current WordPress theme or one of the other plugins you are using – see Contact Form 7 Email Issues – there is a link there that covers Javascript Conflicts.

    This same link also explains why you may need to an SMTP plugin like ??WP-Mail-SMTP. However you should not use an SMTP plugin if you don’t need to. Most people don’t need to use SMTP and it can create further dificulties with email authentication.
