After the Crash

  • The site crashed. I have a backup, my only back up from WPBackup. It has the flawed installation.

    I have to start again.

    If I FTP themes, plugins that will help but can I backup wp-config.php and use it?

  • Since most issues are theme or plugin related, your first steps should be:

    1) Rename all current theme folders to old-theme_folder_name and then upload default unedited theme.
    2) Rename the whole plugins folder to old-plugins.

    Report back.
