After SSL instal ‘https://’ appended to front of outbound links

  • Hi there,

    I use WPEngine as my host and have updated my site to SSL.

    After this I installed the SSL Insecure Content Fixer.

    I have one major problem and that is a custom field ‘website’ in all of my posts which has a Outbound LINK i.e. http//www.wallabyridge.com.au or https://www.worendo.com when viewing the post in a browser ‘https://’ gets added to the front of the link URL i.e. https://http//www.wallabyridge.com.au — of course these links will not work.

    I cannot see where or why this is happening and wondered if you had any clues that could help?
