• I rolled back a plugin (Easy Table of Content) back to the previous version using your plugin because the latest version was causing problem on my site and that fixed the issue and everything worked well.

I actually did the roll back on the advice of the plugin developer as that is the only way of solving the issue at the moment.

But the plugin keep updating itself back to the latest version thereby causing the same problem again. I have had to roll back to previous version again and again but the plugin keep on updating itself back to the latest version.

Meanwhile, i keep WP Rollback Plugin active on my site, yet it cannot prevent this from happening.

My plugins auto update is set to OFF, non of my plugins has ever auto-update. It only give me update notification, if i don’t update manually they will never update themselves.

Currently i have another plugin that has available update notification for several weeks and it did not auto-update itself.

Why is this happening, please i need your advice.

Hi @jobsgivers — apologies for the delayed response. Is this resolved now? If not, which two versions of Easy Table of Contents are you dealing with? Meaning, which version is it on, and which are you trying to rollback to?

Sometimes a dev might “tag” the release correctly, but their main php file shows the version incorrectly and that might cause this issue. But I need to know which versions to look at.

    Thanks!
