After Reset I can’t login

    Hi there,
    I was trying to reset a site to make some tests and now I can’t login.
    The site is hosted on Siteground and has a staging.
    I resetted the production site and now I can’t log-in.
    I tried all the users I found in the database but no one works.
    Staging2 works anyway.

    I saw a similar topic that is from 10 months ago that seems resolved.
    Can you help me please? What can I do?

    Hi Danny,

    The issue before was a compatibility issue with a (then) new WordPress version.
    That caused WP Reset to not be able to create the admin user again after the reset, which meant there were no users in the database at all. So that is why you could not connect.

    Since you mention there are multiple “users” in the database, I guess it’s safe to assume this is unrelated. During the reset, WP Reset will delete all users and only add the currently logged in admin user back though. So it sounds like either something went wrong during the reset or the reset failed completely and the issue is actually caused by something else.

    If there’s anything in your server’s error log from around the time you performed the reset, maybe we can figure it out, so please check that and let us know what you find ??

    Hi,
    You say you tried “all the users” you found in the database. If a site is reset then it has only one user. So if you’re looking at the right DB and you really have multiple users then something went properly sideways. If you’re not looking at the right DB then please have a look at the right one ?? If you know the email for the admin user that should be left on the site try resetting the password.

    I think that from the reset there is this error log:
    … mod_hive matched URI … with match 2, referer: …
    I try go deeper tomorrow
