after replace old domain with new domain

  • I had an old domain, and I replaced it with a new one. And my site has been working on it for eight months and it has progressed Alexa ranking.
    Is it sufficient to replace an old domain with a new one inside the control panel? Or should other measures be taken to avoid losing ranking?

    There is more involved, but it may not affect ranking. It will affect overall functionality. Changing domains has some of the same implications as moving a site, except the files and DB are not physically moved. See the Help hub article on moving sites.
