    Hi Team,

We are using your plugin on a blog website. We found an issue/concern, when we received an email reply to the post, our post got published automatically.

We posted the story directly from our drafts which came through our Gmail. Also, we checked it after I published it and it was fine. However, when we wrote a reply to the email in Gmail and when a response email came through it published the email within the story on the website.

Also, I can confirm that there were not any overriding actions have been mentioned in that reply email.

Question is, how did the email conversation got published automatically?

    Please help with this issue!!!

    Thanks in advance

I’m not clear on what you did. It sounds like you sent the original email to Postie and somehow saved it as a draft.
You then somehow replied to the original email (not sure how you did that)
The reply was published as a comment or a post? (what is your “Treat Replies As” setting?)
The original post was also published?

    Hi Allen,

What our client did was, sent the original email to Postie and manually publish the article on the WordPress website. However, after publishing the article, the client replied to that email via the Gmail account, and when the client received a return email from the sender, this email conversation got published on the website automatically.

I checked the email history, and I couldn’t find any overriding actions that have been mentioned in that email.

Does this make sense? Please help

    Thank you

If you send an email to the account Postie is checking it is going to get processed.

The email account that Postie is using should be exclusively for Postie. Nobody should be using that account for normal emailing.

    Hi Allen,

Thank you for your response. Now I can understand the reason why there was an issue.

    Thank you

    Have a great day!!
