    Hi,

I would like to create a pop-up which collect emails when users click on an external outbound link. When they click that link the the pop up opens before sending the user to external site.

The current problem: after they have filled out the pop-up or closed it the user needs to click on the link again. I cannot use a static link as I have hundreds out external links so it needs to be “dynamic”.

I can see the custom JS / CSS page might do it. Can you recommend a “open last clicked link” js snipplet?

    thanks,

    JimBob

  • Dear @snowcalling,

Thanks a lot for reaching out.

May I know if you need to open the same link or you need to open different ones any time it is clicked?
Also, could you please share link to the website where we can see how the popup works now.

    Thanks a lot,

    Hi,

thanks for getting back to me @sygnoossupport

the website is https://www.snowcalling.com if you go to e.g. https://snowcalling.com/listing-category/skioffpiste and then click on “view trip”. Here I want upon close the customer to open the link (is_blank to seperate tab).

    Is this possible?

    thanks,
    JimBob

    Dear @snowcalling,

Thanks a lot for your reply.

Kindly ask you to confirm we understood the inquiry correctly.
So you have subscription popup and would like to redirect your visitors to another link as soon as they close the popup with close button.

Could you please confirm we did not misunderstand your inquiry?

    Thanks,

Yes. The pop up event happens when the user clicks on the “view trip” class. This normally just opens up a the link in a new tab.

But now that I have the pop-up the user gets a pop-up and must close or sign-up. Then they have to click view trip again to open the tab.

I want to remove the second click of view trip.

    Is that clear?

    Thanks

    Dear @snowcalling,

    Thanks a lot for clarification.

We do not have any default option for the result you would like to have.
Development team is asked for any custom solution.
We will contact you back as soon as they share any solution.

    Thanks a lot,
    Popup Builder Team
