• Hello,

On several different sites, I noticed that the activation of the PHP 7.4 version suppressed the sending of emails by WordPress, no more notifications, no more possible to receive emails via the forms… therefore obliged for the time being to return to version 7.3.

Do you have any idea how to fix this?

    Thanks in advance,
    cordially

  • Have you tried a simple PHP script emailing a test message to narrow down whether this is a WordPress or PHP issue ? Do you have access to logs showing if the message was sent and not received rather than not going out, and is your domain setup OF in terms of SPF and DKIM, those configurations proving to email providers that your messages are legit when sent from that server ?

Hello, thank you for your answer…
I did not install a script, but used the “Check Emails” plugin to send via WordPress … the email is marked as “gone”, but nothing never leaves …
Where are found these logs for sending mails ? I have the “error_log” and access to Cpanel …
I spoke to my hosting service, told me that there is no problem on his side …
How do I know if I am OF in terms of SPF and DKIM ?
It’s really when I switch the php version 7.3 to 7.4 that this happens, and in fact nothing else intervenes i think, it could switch SPF and DKIM… ?
I tested on several different websites, with different hosting, different templates, different plugins ……
This is why I am amazed …
