• Hi: I installed 3.0.1 and followed the directions to make it multisite network, namely edited .htaccess and wp-config.php. Everything looks good until I try to read posts and get this message:
    —-
    Access Denied
    Not Found / No Access
The page you are looking for either does not exist, or you do not have the permissions to access it
    —-

Anyone encountered this problem and has a solution?

    I appreciate the feedback

  • Yeah I’ve the same issue. Sites aren’t showing up? It’s like it needs a physical directory created. Is this the case?

It shows directory ‘blog’ but really not working. Too bad that the old MU was killed. Please post if you find a solution, I’ll do the same, of course. Meanwhile, I will probably go back to MU 2.9. Until this one has much more automated process as oppose to having to tweak codes.

Guys, it works exactly the same as mu did. Mu was killed as a separate project – the “new” stuff in 3.0 is almost exaclty the same.

The .htaccess file controls the post urls and makes them “pretty” and look like they are in folders. If it’s not working on a brand new setup, it;s not multisite. You can check this easily by looking at the default post and page off the main blog. Do they work? No? then it;s a rewrite issue.

tell your webhost you need pretty permalinks.
