After moving wordpress page to new server, posts don't save to MySQL database

  • I’ve moved our wordpress site to e a new server, updated the wp-config.php to reflect the new location, db name and password for the new MySQL database, uploaded all the info into the db and uploaded the site.

    All looks good and is properly displayed. Trouble is, when I want to post a new blog post, it saves it in the posts as published, but it doesn’t show up on the site. After some research I noticed, that the new post doesn’t appear as an entry in the MySQL database, so I’m thinking that for some reason the new posts don’t get posted as they should.

    Any ideas what to do?

  • I have never used a magazine theme but it just may be that your theme set is configured to point to your old server / website database so that is why it is not saving in your current database or you have changed the database name but not updated in the theme setup?
