• I made the mistake of not backing up my local site before copying it over to the new server. (I did copy the database though.) I followed the instructions to change the url in my local version before downloading the database for the new server. (The new site is running okay on the server.) However, when I went back to my local version, and installed the earlier backed-up database, the admin opens up and the Home page views, but nothing else. (see error message below.) What I think is happening is that my local copy is looking for files on the new server, instead of locally where it should.
Is there a solution? THANK YOU.

  • I have a similar problem to Laptophobo. In short, I replaced my httpdocs (FTP FileZilla) with an earlier backed-up version. Now my Home page views but nothing else. I too receive an error message stating:

    Not Found
The requested document was not found on this server.

The strange thing is though that the home page does not correspond to the home page that belongs to the backed-up version.

Does anybody have an idea what I can do to get the backed-up version working again? Thank you in advance!
