    Hi

I moved my webpage to another server, but can’t get the permalinks to work there.

It is a apache server and I have tryed troubleshooting it with the help of codex, but with no luck.

I changed the permissions and found out that wp is rewriting the .htaccess file, but whenever I put it on permalinks the browser doesent find any subpages.

I don’t really get the Allowoverride part described in the codex. If this is a common error and could be the problem can someone explain that to me?

  • That apache can ignore your .htaccess, if it wasn’t allowed to override…

So, there in httpd.conf should be AllowOverride +Files, AFAIR.

Okay thanks, yeah it seems that this is the case. Will talk to the server people to fix this.
