• Guys,
I moved my WP to another server,
I created a db with the same name and same password.
    now my blogs works fine.

    but, in admin section,
when I upgrade my plugins, or when I tried to upgrade WP 2.8.1,
its shows a page called Connection Information.

    in that page, it asks,
    hostname:
    username:
    password:
connection type : ftp / sftp

what am I want to do to ignore this page.?

I entered my db un and pw, but no use ??

  • ya ask them and I think if you are on shared hosting then its not possible.
Instead using automatic update use manual update..

    Upgrading_WordPress

For inserting pic change your wp_content permission to 777. I assume you are on linux server..

Yes bro, its a linux server, ( 2 servers, I got a new server today, but got the same issue on it. got this same issue n my moved WP and freshly installed WP

and one is reseller, another one is shared.

and I changed all directories / sub directories and files permission as 777. but no use.

I did these things b4 start this thread, then n only I open this thread.

    chown public_html apache:apache

is your server a local one? I had the same issue when the server was nat’ed and behind a firewall, moving the wp site to an internet server solved the problem (somehow).
