After move to new host, won’t work under SSL

  • I moved my site to a new host and SCE stopped working, seemingly under conditions where it worked on the former host.

    On my new host, I have SSL via LetsEncrypt, as I did on the old host, and I’m using Really Simple SSL. However, SCE no longer works for anonymous users as long as the page is loaded securely. If I disable SSL and load the page insecurely, SCE works for anonymous users once more.

    SCE always works when I am logged in as admin, SSL or not.

    I assume something about the new host is preventing SCE from contacting the server via AJAX but I have no idea about how I might troubleshoot this. If anyone has insights I would welcome them.
