    Hi

I have moved a website from the staging server to the live environment –?with a different domain.

Now when I receive the regular email from the wordFence plugin the sender Email is:

    old-domain.com <[email protected]>

    instead of

    new-domain.com <[email protected]>

    Where can I change that?

    thanks s lot!

The old domain name could be in the database somewhere still. You might need to use a search-and-replace plugin to look in your database for the old domain name and replace it with the new one. Several different search and replace plugins exist in the www.remarpro.com repository. I’d recommend looking for one that have a test mode, where it shows you what it found without actually changing anything so you can be sure you are changing what you want to change. Search for the whole email address what I would do. And as soon as you are done with the search and replace I would deactivate and remove the plugin from the website. If a hacker gained access to the site that is a fast way to cause problems. You can always install it again if you need it.

And just to be sure, head over to Wordfence > All Options > General Wordfence Options and look for Where to email alerts. make sure it shows the correct information. Also check WordPress > Settings > General Settings > Administration Email Address and update this as well if needed.
