• Hi, i read through the to-dos and other stuff, but did not find a solution to this.
After manually updating my 5.8.3 wp to 5.9 is states that it is at the latest version (5.9), however, when i check my settings/web-health page, it says there are 1 critical error, that i should update to the latest wp version (5.9)

My webhosting is pretty slow, so i did it in a manual way, that everything is overwritten via ftp in wordpress/ root files and deleted and copied the new wp-admin / wp-include directory contents.

    Any suggestion?

The update went fine, the “update database” finished, and the page loads and works fine.
    regards,
    Béla.

  • I noticed that with the standard 5.9 update also. After a while the notice of remaining update went away, so I don’t think it’s a problem.

    Good to hear that.

Hi, its been a month now, and all my pages were updated manually (with the file copy method) and they run like OK.

Some days ago, i received my scheduled nightly cron emails about wordpress successfully updated to 5.8.4 (which is – in fact – a downgrade)
    Has anyone noticed similar behaviour?

So, it was manually upgraded to 5.9.1 but it constantly were alerting about “There is an update to you site to 5.9.1”. (Same version as currently)

After awhile it downgraded to 5.8.4.
Manual upgrade isn’t working for a reason, i don’t know.
(Maybe web hosting is too slow. I tried to switch off the embedded DDos protection for the site at the webhosting, but with no avail)
