• Hi, after the latest WordPress update 5.9.1 that automatically updated on my website, I can’t log into the back-end of my website. I have used the theme on two of my websites, and both are not loading the back-end. All my other websites are working perfectly fine that have other themes and the same plugins. It might also be the SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle (updated automatically from version 1.30.0 to 1.30.1). When I log in at the backend using wp-admin, I get this message:

    There has been a critical error on this website. Please check your site admin email inbox for instructions.

    I checked other threads and mostly it happens because of the theme/plugins. Could you perhaps check if the problem might be with the theme that is not compatible with the latest WordPress version?

    Thanks in advance ??

    Hi, it definitely is the theme that is giving the issue. As soon as I renamed the theme folder through FTP, it reverted to the Twenty Twenty theme, making the back-end load successfully. Would you please let me know when an update is ready for the theme?

    I’m rolling back to the previous version of WordPress now. Please let me know when an update is ready for the theme, then I will update the theme and WordPress to the latest version.

    Message to Precise Themes:
    The theme admin page does not work with WordPress 4.9.1
    The problem persists when child theme and all plugins are disabled.
    Switching to any other theme or reverting to WP 4.9 resolves the issue.

    I’m in the same boat here. Hoping the makers of this theme will respond with an update. Site broke with the last core WP update, so I had to roll it back to a previous core version.

    @andi Walker: Thanks!

    Did you use the pro version?

    Having the same issue here!

    I contacted the “precisethemes” support without any response. The demoversion is outdated (Nov.2020 -> V1.3.8) . I suppose the company may have given up in which case we all need to get a similar theme.

    @beenee7 I have rolled back to version 5.9 and I’m still on it. I have switched off the automatic updates for now, until we hear back from the theme editors that we can update the WordPress. If not, then I suppose we should start looking at new theme options…

    I hope they are not occupied in the Ukraine/Russian war, which might explain why we haven’t heard anything from them.

    @hellodeer Thanks for your response…!
    Did you use the pro version of courtyard or the free one?

    Pleasure! The free one.

    cheers! We also used the free one. Thought of buying the pro version. I contacted them for that also via fb.
    Hope you are wrong with them being involved in the war. But the free version wasn’t maintained since Nov. 2020, this made me think they are just not very ambitious?!
