After install/upgrade to 4.3.1 continuing the receive emails

    Im having a slightly annoying issue with some reminder emails to upgrade to the latest 4.3.1

    I previously had 3.2.2 so it was quite a big jump to 4.3.1 the install seemed to go smoothly and everything worked fine I just had to do everything manualy given any installers did not work so far back.

    I am however now reciving everyday an email from WP with the following

    “Subject: [OneClick Installer] WordPress 4.3.1 now available (security release)”

    Now this is getting rather annoying as this is a daily occurrence and my darn phone keeps buzzing because of it. Could anyone suggest how to stop these emails? I have the latest security release but had to do it manually and not with onclick installer, which is why i think its abit upset.

  • this is because you have used auto installer for installing wordpress. the auto installer can be softaculous installer or other. this happen many time .
    read carefully:-
    if you have install wordpress with auto installer and after few month when you upgrade your wordpress through dashboard or manually it will get upgrade.but the auto installer have your record of old wordpress installtion .so it think you are using old wordpress and it keep sending notification.so do backup of your wordpress completely and then go to your installer .ask your hosting provider if you dont know where it located in your host and then upgrade your hosting to latest with installer.
