Hi @alovalwp
While your site is publicly accessible, we cannot access your site’s XML-RPC file:
This file is used by Jetpack and other plugins and apps to connect to your site. It must return the following message:
XML-RPC server accepts POST requests only.
You can see a working example here:
Since your site returns a 404 error for this page, I would recommend that you check the following:
1) Can you see the /xmlrpc.php file at the root of your WordPress installation when accessing your site via FTP? If you don’t, then please try re-installing WordPress. You can do this by going to the Dashboard -> Upgrades page, then click the “Reinstall” button.
2) Do you use any security plugins that may block access to this file? If so, could you try to disable them? You might also want to check your site’s .htaccess file for any rules that might be blocking access to the xmlrpc.php file.
3) Does your hosting provider block access to this file? If you don’t find any plugin that may block access to the file on your site, I would recommend that you get in touch with your host.
Once we are able to access your site’s xmlrpc.php file, please try to reconnect your site:

Hi @alovalwp and @bruceallen
I’m not convinced the connection to Jetpack is the issue here. @alovalwp please can you share a link to a screenshot – when I visit your site I can see the top menu (unless you mean a different menu)?
Which settings do you have active in Boost where you see the menu vanish?
I’ve got installed Jetpack Boost version 1.4.2. with the three topics activated.
When I update the plugin to version 1.5.1 the top menu is not visibleHi @bruceallen
Yes, I see xmlrpc.php file at the root of my WP
RegardsHi @alovalwp,
Like @mikemayhem3030, I can also see a menu across the top of your site which reads “Home, Servicios, Contacto, Tienda, …”. When I mouse-over “Servicios”, I see a popup menu appear.
Is that the menu that you no longer see after activating Jetpack Boost, or are you talking about the Admin Bar that appears when you log into WordPress?
Can you please try deactivating the “Optimize CSS Loading” feature in Boost to see if that fixes your menu. If not, reactivate it and deactivate the “Defer Non-Essential JavaScript” feature to see if that fixes it. If you can identify which feature is hiding your menu, it may help us solve this mystery.
Hi @thingalon
Yes, is that menu.
I have disactivated “Optimized CSS” and updated the plugin.
Now the menu is visible, but before it appears some rubbish characters.
I don’t see how to send a screenshot to you.
RegardsHi,
Any news?Hi
Should I expect any answer from this forum?
I still have the same issue with Jetpack Boost
RegardsHi @alovalwp,
Critical CSS isn’t generated for the admin bar because users landing on your site never see it. Am I correct in guessing that this happens only when you’re logged in?
I noticed that you’re using LiteSpeed cache – it looks like one of their performance modules might be interfering with Jetpack Boost. Can you temporarily disable the LiteSpeed cache and their optimizations (and purge cache)? Then regenerate Critical CSS in Jetpack Boost and see if that solves the problem.
If it does – then re-activate the LiteSpeed cache modules one by one until it breaks again. Once you identify the module that’s causing the incompatibility – can you please let us know which module caused the side effects?
Hi @pyronaur,
Sorry for the delay.
Finally, I deactivated the three modules of Jetpack Boost and updated the plugin.
Later I activated Optimize CSS and Lazy Image Loading without problems.
But when I activate Defer Non-essential JS again my site main menu is not shown and the Jetpack Boost score decreases.
This happens even with LiteSpeed Cache deactivated.
RegardsHi @alovalwp
It seems like it could be a conflict with your theme, but since it’s a paid theme, we don’t have an easy way to confirm that.
In order to investigate further, we would need you to create a staging site that we can use to reproduce the issue and investigate further. If you’d like to proceed with that, could you contact us via this contact form and mention this thread?
Thanks!
