after import media only show image symbol

  • I want to import everything from my blog (which is on an external server) into one of the domains on my WordPress multisite setup (localhost). I have tried it several times but the media do not import correctly. I use the WordPress importer plugin. For the export I chose “All content”. For the import I used “Download and import file attachments”. After import has finished I get the message that if failed to import the new user and some 10 images. But that isn’t my real problem. The problem is that when I look at the media (that are supposed to be imported correctly) I only see an image symbol.

    Additional info: I have found where the images/attachments are stored on my local harddrive after import. So I definitely kwow now that they were uploaded. What I also see is that the media use 475 MB and I saw a message on my dashboard that 100 MB Storage Space is allowed for this domain. Do not know how to solve this though. Apart from manually linking those media again ??
