After I enable billing, will maps still be free unlimited

    Hi, I just noticed our map is broken and I need to enable billing with Google.

    I am just writing to ask if your plugin serves up the kind of map which will still be free for unlimited requestsbecause just read this in an article:

    “If using the simple dynamic maps showing the location of your business with a pin, this will be completely free and not part of your credit, therefore the map can be served an unlimited number of times.”

    …that sounds to me like what your plugin does, but I just wanted to check first before I assure my client it will still be 100% free after I enable billing. ??

    Did you find that text on an official Google Maps site?

    The store locator uses different API’s ( based on how it’s configured ), and the searches that are made require an API request which will initially fall under the $200 free credit you get every month.

    So unless you have a high traffic website, you won’t see a bill.

    To prevent surprises you can set billing alerts to keep track of your usage here.

    There are a few options you can enable to reduce the amount API calls, they are described in this article under the ‘How can I reduce number of API Calls?’ header.
