after host change no adding of images possible anymore

it should be uploading to a folder called uploads, this folder should have 755 persmissions.

i checked. it was 755, and my new hoster recommended not to adjust the Chmod. they are saying to configure wp that it does all changes by ftp-access, and in order to do that i would have to put my FTP-Login into the wp configuration.

i’m looking forward to hear if at least you know what they are talking about- cuz’ I don’t ??

You have to ask your host for help; this is not a WordPress issue, but a host issue with their particular permissions and FTP access rules. See Changing File Permissions ? WordPress Codex

So the first thing you’ll want to check is the upload path in your settings. Be sure the absolute path isn’t set from your old host and that it is only ‘wp-content/uploads’ (without the apostrophes.) Typically, this is the main cause of this.

Typically it would be in your wp dash under settings > media

nope… i’ve tried:

– changing permissions (not sure to set it right for this particular folder and its files)
– changing uploads_path in wp-options
– and in media settings are only options for file size, and ‘organize by month’ which i also tried…

it still says:
The uploaded file could not be moved to wp-content/uploads/2015/09
