As already reported many times !!! the checkbox “After enabling this all files will go to media library” in preferences has no effect. No matter what value $settings[‘fm_enable_media_upload’] gets all files always go to media library.
    Please help track the problem.

  • The “Enable Files Upload to Media Library?” boxed is checked but it’s not working. It worked when I 1st installed it but is no longer working.
I deselected it, Save Changes, Enabled it, then re-uploaded my file and it’s still not showing up in the Media Library.
As this was one of the reasons I choose this plugin…

How can I get it to work?

I updated and just tried it several times. Unchecked and rechecked the button then tried it again. But still not working.

    Hey @iammyal,

Please clear your browser cache or try in a private window. maybe your browser is caching previous files.

    Mandeep

I am having the same issue as iammyal. I have Enable Files Upload to Media Library checked, have tried in a private window, nothing works. Files are not going to my Media Library from the File Manager. Both my plug-in and WP are up to date.

It was a cache issue at my end. As mndpsingh287 suggested, I cleared all cached files and the plugin started to work as intended.

@mndpsingh287 I’ve cleared the cache on the site, on my browsers, tried it in a private window. Then waited a day and repeated, cleared the cache on the site, on my browsers, tried it in a private window and because I really hoped it would work. I repeated, cleared the cache on the site, on my browsers, tried it in a private window.

    Still not working.

@mndpsingh287 Can we mark this as unresolved?

    Hey @iammyal,

Are you using the free version or pro version of the file manager and did you upgrade it to the latest version of file manager.

    Regards,
    Mandeep

    @mndpsingh287
I’m using the free version. I would upgrade to the Pro Version but if it’s not working in the free version… Will it work in the Pro Version?

@mndpsingh287 I am also using the free version, and the “Enable Files Upload to Media Library” option still does not work.

@iammyal no, it should work in the free version too. Can you please let me know which version of WordPress are you using right now so we can replicate it on our end.

    Mandeep

    Hey @iammyal @sarahlhayes,

We have raised the version again and fix it again. Could you please clear your browser cache and check it again. Let me know if it fixes the issue for you.

@mndpsingh287 I have updated the plugin, cleared my browser cache, and I haven’t seen any changes in my media library.
