After editing with Elementor, content is removed

    Hi,

    I’ve started building a new website a few days ago and I am having two problems with elementor, that does not let me continue working.

    1- If there is previous content, for example: “sample page”, and I edit it with elementor, once I save it the content disappears.
    2- If I build a page with Elementor from the begining, the content would never save and once I leave the builder, it’s gone.

    I tried installing a previous version of Elementor, but the problem was the same.
    The version I am using is 2.3.8

    It is not a cache problem… the information is removed after converting or creating with Elementor.

    If anybody has the same problem and found a solution, please, let me know.

  • This almost sounds like it might be a permissions problem, not allowing Elementor to save data. Double-check with your host to see if they see anything odd. In the meantime, make sure you are using the most updated versions of Elementor, Elementor Pro (if you are using that), WordPress & your theme. Sometimes it isn’t obvious that there is an update available. Go to Dashboard > Updates and click the Check Again button to be sure.

    Also check Elementor > Tools > System Info to see if there is any information there that might indicate a problem.

    Deactivate all of your plugins. If this solves the problem, gradually activate your plugins one by one, until you spot the problematic plugin.

    Clear all cache (server, plugin, and browser). (I know you said it’s not a cache problem, but I’d double check it anyway. Sometimes, I’ve cleared cache multiple times, and the last time helped solve whatever problem I was having at the time).

    I’d also try in other browsers. Probably not the problem in this case, but it’s a quick check to rule it out.

    If all else fails, I’d delete Elementor and reinstall a fresh copy.

    Oh…and while maybe not related to your issue, I’d glance through https://docs.elementor.com/article/185-the-update-button-does-not-work just in case.
