After editing – gaps in sentences, won’t single space poetry

    This is driving me nuts. After editing posts, huge spaces are appearing in some of my sentences. Also, cannot get single spacing happening for poetry. It appears corrected while I’m in Write, until I hit Publish and then it looks BAD. Very distracting. I am a Luddite, which compounds the problem.
    ex: Dorothy, you’re in Texas. So what are
    I tried to show by example in the previous line that the seven words were spread over one line with spaces in between words, but it got cleaned up by this thing along the way. Go figure.

    Do you mean that the lines are justified? If so go to your theme editor, look in your stylesheet layout section and change

    text-align: justify

    to

    text-align: left
