I have a big problem – the page doesn’t go away even after uninstalling and deleting the plugin!?

I’ve tried to delete the generated page, as the developer suggests in another thread, or the page I chose to use as the maintenance page. I’ve reinstalled the plugin, have it generate the page called “maintenance page”, uninstalled it again, and deleting the generated page – again. I’m not using a caching plugin and I’ve even disabled HTTP caching on my host.

I’m at a complete loss of what to do. This was a new site (hence the need for a maintenance page) so I’m considering just reinstalling from scratch from a fresh database.

    Hi Karl,

Thank you for using LightStart and for reaching out!

When LightStart is installed and activated, it generates a maintenance page that will be used on your website. After uninstalling the plugin, it will indeed remain between the pages as a regular page, not assigned as a maintenance mode page. However, you should be able to remove it easily using WP core functionalities.

Can you please share some screenshots or details that can help us replicate the issue?

Thanks for getting back to me. I don’t remember the details anymore. In the end I deleted the whole wp instance and made a new one from a new database.
