After crash last post images disappears

  • Today as I was putting some images in my last article whwn the bar of Upload media (the white and gray) is stopped.

    After that site was not available and I had an error page server cgi-sys/defaultwebpage.cgi.

    After about 10 minutes during which the site was slow I noticed that I had been deleted the images I had inserted in an article published a few days ago.

    The images were included in the gallery but appear white.
    I had not saved and I had to re-create and re-insert.

    What could have happened?
    How could WordPress deleted images already saved before?

    After i reupload the new images after some riedit, all last 2 post’s pictures have disappear again.

    This time i’ve saved and used filezilla to see what happened in 2012/09 folder.

    I noticed 3 or more copies of first images (that I thought I had deleted from wordpress GUI) renamed like this normal.jpg, normal320x340.jpg, normal 670X640.jpg (not remember numbers..) ecc…

    I deleted it from filezilla and readded the saved.
    Now seems to work but i’m not quiet
