• Dear all,

When I activated Jetpack version 2.6 then I couldn’t see any text in the editor of WordPress and only HTML editor works. This all in Chrome. When I have IE the I could edit pages.

Also when I want to edit a menu this won’t work in Chrome also in IE not. When I deactivate Jetpack everything works fine again.

Does someone have some tips? On the webpage itself everything looks fine.

Could you use your browser’s Javascript console to find out if there are any errors when in the post editor or n the menu screen?

If you find errors, paste them in this thread and I’ll see if I can help you figure out what’s wrong on your site.

    Thanks!

    Hello Jeremy,

    Thanks for your quick reply:

Error on menu page in Chrome to edit the menu:
Uncaught ReferenceError: columns is not defined nav-menu.min.js?ver=3.7.1:1
event.returnValue is deprecated. Please use the standard event.preventDefault() instead.

    And editing a page:
event.returnValue is deprecated. Please use the standard event.preventDefault() instead.
Uncaught ReferenceError: tinyMCE is not defined editor.min.js?ver=3.7.1:1

I hope you could find something.

Both of these files are added by WordPress itself, but it seems something is wrong with your installation at the moment.

Could you try to reinstall the Jetpack plugin from scratch, just to make sure that some of the files were not corrupted during the update?
