• Hello,

After contacting AffiliateWP about the conflict, this is what they said:

We tried to work through all of the possible settings in WP Fastest Cache plugin to get it to work with Direct Link Tracking (DLT), but to no avail. The long and short of it is the Direct Link Tracking add-on outputs some code to the HTML source of the page, and when WP Fastest Cache is active, it completely removes the code needed for DLT to create the cookies in the browser when the visitor arrives at your site from the approved affiliate’s site.

If you wanted to reach out to the support for WP Fastest Cache, the question would be how to have it exclude (if possible) our <script> tags that the DLT add-on was entering within the HTML source code and it was deleting.

Could you please let me know if there’s a way to do this?

    Thank you for your time,
    Jakub

I can add a condition about it. Can you show me a sample code please?

    Hello,

Thank you for our response. Here is the response from AffiliateWP. Unfortunately, I don’t know how to upload the images here.

I am attaching two screenshots. One shows the script that the Direct Link Tracking adds to the HTML output on your site, and then the second one, after a few times going from the affiliate’s site to yours with the WP Fastest Cache active, shows the script is gone. Without the script, DLT is not able to know when the referring site is one of the domains that should create a cookie for that affiliate that the domain belongs to. When we cleared all the caches this works a couple of times, but then removes the script completely. If their support can tell you how to prevent it from removing that script, then it should work properly together with the caching plugin active.

I have uploaded the screenshots of the code, here:

I will add a condition for the code but can you add an exclusion attribute for script as below please?

    Thank you for this Emre.

Here is a response from AffiliateWP:

“Our developer has hardcoded this edit in our Direct Link Tracking plugin on your site, so we can see if it works for you. We’re assuming that the WP Fastest Cache developer is going to add or has added some kind of compatibility fix so the caching plugin can also exclude <script> blocks (like what DLT adds) rather than only the single <script> calls to a .js file.

We mention the above since we did actually try this while troubleshooting a few days ago, but it seems their plugin wasn’t set up for it. We’ve also seen other caching plugins which have similar attributes to also block files from caching.

So let me know when they have made their changes and I can assist with testing!”

    Hello Emre,

Just wondering when this will be available? Please don’t feel rushed. I would just like to let my affiliates know when they can start using direct link tracking.

    Thank you.
