Just curious if Affiliate links and Elementor are compatible as it doesn’t seem to be working for me.

I’m new to this, so maybe I’m doing something wrong. One of my affiliate prefixes in MonsterInsights is “/go/”. So I setup a link that looks like this: https://www.MyWebsite.com/go/https://www.MyAffiliate.com.

When I setup a link this way as a regular post; it works. I don’t know about tracking, as I haven’t checked… but it takes me to the affiliate page. However, when I setup a link this way in Elementor, I just end up jumping to an error page on my website — the web page can’t found.

    Am I doing something wrong?

Interested in the pro version but I want to make sure I can figure out the lite version first.

    Hi there,
Yep we’re compatible with Elementor but I think there’s some confusion as to how that feature works.

MonsterInsights implements tracking for pre-existing affiliate links that are generated from plugins like PrettyLinks that generate them.

To use make a link redirect like yourwebsite.com/go/myaffiliate/ you would use a plugin like PrettyLinks to make these types of links. MonsterInsights’s affiliate tracking allows you to track those types of links made by other plugins.

We’ve got a complete guide on it here
