Affiliate Ad Image Problem

    I am using an affiliate ad as follows:
    <a target='new' href="https://click.linksynergy.com/fs-bin/click?id=xxxxxxxx&offerid=344225.4&type=3&subid=0">Shop High Sierra</a><IMG border="0" width="1" height="1" src="https://ad.linksynergy.com/fs-bin/show?id=xxxxxxxxx&bids=344225.4&type=3&subid=0" />

    This works OK in a normal page. However, in an AMP page the IMG produces a large blank space following the Shop High Sierra text.
