Hmm, this is even more interesting. It seems that the output of the plugin is put through htmlentities() before it outputs. This causes your problem. I will take a short look to see if I can do something about it, but my best guess is that your theme or another plugin does this so I cannot be of service.

There really isn’t anything I can do in the code. There was one option, but that only works for Javascript while I need CSS access.

But: It is fixed for now, I replaced the “ellips” for three dots.

Please let me know if this works for you, it’s fixed in version 1.15.4

The three dits trick is perfect!
The weirdness of “show less” persists instead of “showing less”, while “showing more” is displayed.
The translation from English to French only works half the time !! ?? But it is a detail.

that is because not everything is translated I guess. It’s pretty hard to get and keep translator on board. There are quite a few French users who have contribute, but the quality isn’t quite there yet (what I understand from others).

Do you want to be a translation approver? I do have to warn, it takes some effort to signup, but when you do you can bring it to 100% translation I guess.

Hello, the translation has finally been set to 100%.
Slightly lengthy validation process! ??
On the other hand the display of “Show less” persists untranslated, and this I think in all languages.
I think I have a track: “Show less” is “checked” hidden when loading and therefore not translated.
If I change it in “name-directory.css” it works but not in “shortcode.php”.

thanks for your hard work! Yes, the validation process (and the French in particular) is pretty lenghty and hard. I personally don’t agree with everything but it’s something that’s community driven and proves right for accurate translations. It’s not something I can do anything about. But I always am very happy if people take the time and contribute in such a way. So thanks again!

Got it! There was a typo in the class-names. In the next version the translation for ‘Show less’ will be shown.
