Hi

Great plugin…so far so good, no issue.

Couple of questions if you dont mind.

1-In the settings tab, the 2nd option under URL Modifications is creating issues for me, my second menu where I have my switcher disappeared although you recommend to keep it checked…so I checked the first option and it is working for me although I like the idea where it shows en for English then the post name ex: en/about_us …what do you recommend and if it is the second option what am I doing wrong? see attached image for the menus and permalink settings.

2-after I installed the polylang..I got this update also in the image attached…wordpress update 4.1.1 which I have been using for the last few weeks- but then I see en_CA…do I ignore? why that happened?

Hello

1-The second option is recommanded since it creates generally less conflicts than the first according to Chouby author himself.

Which theme do you use?

For item 2- so should I ignore for now until the next wordpress real update?
For item 1- I like to use the second option but getting issues, my top menu in the non english language does not show therefore I can switch languages when I dont see it- I use Avada.

Yes you should ignore it.

I use Avada.

There are many topics with Polylang + Avada. Make a search on this forum to see how some users handled it.
You should report your problem to Avada team.

Chrystl-I am back….I am new to the whole thing and I am trying hard to create a website with 2 languages – can you please explain to me the difference between 1-the language is set from content and 2- the language is set from the directory name in pretty permalinks? what are the pros and cons?
