ADVICE: Which is best approach? Multisite blogs or single parent blog with cats?

    Hi,

    So I’m creating a multisite install. I have one parent site with a blog and sub-sites with their own blogs.

    OPTIONS:

    1. Is it better to have a single master blog that sits in the parent site with categories for the sub-sites. The master blog shows all categories pooled together and subs-sites pull only their relevant categories posts in from the parent.

    or

    2. Would it be better to have separate blogs set up under each sub-site and then pull them all into the parent blog.

    My first major multisite project and wondering from multisite experts which would be the easiest/better route?

  • Im not an expert but have some experience of multisite.

    Whatever is the simplest option and easiest to maintain would be my preference.having tied myself in knots with multisite on a couple of occasions.
