Advice on Student management plugin/solution

Hello everyone,

I’m looking for a solution to some issues I have.

In a nutshell, I’m working on a website which will sell both interactive language courses and promote private video lessons with teachers. It’s basically an online language school.

I’m trying to find solutions to two main requirements for this website to function smoothly.

a) student records and notes
b) teacher and student attendance.

a)

I need some way of allowing teachers to write a summary of the lesson they have had with a student, then add it to the student’s ‘file’. As students will be taught by different teachers it’s essential that they have a file that can be associated with their User ID and that teachers can ‘edit’ it and add to it. This could be as simple as a table with the date of the lesson and a section for the teacher to enter text. It’s also important that the next teacher can access this information. I’d like all this to be done on the front end without any access to wp-admin.

b)

In the same way, I need some method that both teachers and students can confirm their attendance and that of the other person at a lesson. Otherwise it will be difficult to confirm attendance and the subject of payment. If I could somehow collect this information and use it to confirm the number of lessons taught and attended it would be useful. Again, I want the students/teachers to be able to update this information through the front end with no access to wp-admin.

I’m sure that their is a straightforward way of doing this, I just don’t know what I should be searching for in terms of keywords.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

(Please bare in mind that I don’t have much coding experience, but I can do most things if they are clearly explained to me.)
