    Hi all, having spent many years on a standard WordPress install I am finally moving to WooCommerce products. I have approx 500 posts (antiques & design items) which I have successfully converted to WooCommerce products, I now have 500 products and 500 posts. My question:

    In order to retain any SEO goodness from my posts yet also avoiding any duplicate content issues what would be considered best practice going forward;

    1. leave the posts where they are and perform a redirect from individual posts to their equivalent product

    2. somehow combining the WooCommerce product into the posts (if possible)

    or is that all just a waste of time, just ditch the posts and stick with the WooCommerce shop structure with the products?

    would appreciate any thoughts on this

    many thanks

    Peter

    You could redirect the posts to the products to avoid 404 issues and duplicate content. 404 pages, if not addressed could drop your site ranking.

    You can also reach out to an SEO company that could assist better in this capacity
